Gleadell Agriculture continues to make the most of its new investment in Dover with a further January shipment of wheat to Scotland.
Gleadell loaded the Mv Scanlark with 1800t of full spec Group 1 milling wheat to Carrs Milling in Kirkcaldy. The vessel was loaded in 24hrs in Dover before departing on the two-day passage to the east coast of Scotland.
It was recently unloaded via portside grab and the cargo will be used in bread and confectionary flour manufacture for the Scottish market.
Gleadell trading director Jonathan Lane said: “We are delighted to support our UK millers through our new investment in the Port of Dover.
“We are continuing to work with UK and European customers to find outlets for wheat from the south east of England, and encourage local growers in the region to contact their Gleadell farm traders to discuss opportunities.”
Earlier this month Gleadell loaded 3000t of Group 1 milling wheat at Dover, destined for ADM Milling in Scotland.
