All the Urea is imported in bulk and then sieved and bagged at Immingham or Avonmouth guaranteeing top quality fertilisers to the farmer. All Urea is packaged in a Gleadell branded bag in either 500kg or 1000kg bags but also available in bulk.
The branded bag is the farmers guarantee of quality.
Gleadell import prilled urea for farmers who use pneumatic machines or those who are looking to buy a product to liquidise to make their own fertilisers. Prilled urea is for spinning disc applications over 20 metres only.
In partnership with Origin Fertiliser, Gleadell supply a granular ammonium nitrate that is produced in the same way as Extran over a fluid bed to form a granule as opposed to prilled fertiliser which is formed in a prilling tower. Capabal of spreading accurately to 36 metres.
Lithuanian imported AN will spread accurately to 24 meters. Lithan fertiliser is a prilled 34.4 AN product and recognised as the number one imported AN product in the UK. Lithan fert is a reliable replacement/alternative to "UK" imported AN.
Typically contains 27% Nitrogen, half in the nitrogen in the ammonium form and half in the fast-acting nitrate form. CAN is not as acidifying as Ammonium Nitrate or Urea, but recently has become more expensive per kilogram of nutrient so has a declining share of the UK market although the Magnesium content makes it ideal for use on rented land where the Magnesium is applied little-and-often as the crop requires it. When the Magnesium content is taken into account, the product is a price-competitive alternative to Ammonium Nitrate.
