ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP
2007
ENTRY
LEVEL SCHEME
Stewardship Schemes
The DEFRA solutions for the improvement of natural beauty and
diversification of habitat within the countryside are contained
within the provisions of the Countyside Stewardship Scheme.
This provides farmers and land managers with the opportunity to
improve the countryside and be compensated for the potential loss
of productive land taken from the food supply chain.
The objectives of the scheme are to sustain and diversify the
landscape, improve and extend wildlife habitats, conserve archaeological
sites and historic features, improve enjoyment of the countryside,
restore neglected land or features and create new habitats and landscapes.
With these objectives in mind we can offer a number of standard
mixtures which will cover some of the more common requirements contained
within the parameters of the scheme.
