Pulse crops are becoming more important to farmers, with Oilseed Rape being put into even tighter rotations.

Gleadell Agriculture supports home grown protein by offering an array of buy back contracts aimed at both the internal and external markets.

The contracts are available for feed beans for animal feed; human consumption varieties (for the Middle Eastern markets); feed peas; micronising peas; and top quality marrowfats.

Exports

For the last four years Gleadell have been shipping human consumption Spring and Winter Beans to Egypt in bulk from Immingham, Grimsby and Lowestoft.

These cargoes have led to a strengthening relationship with our end users and an increasing demand for UK Beans in Egypt.

The images above and right show the MV Efthia being loaded at Immingham with 8000 tonnes of human consumption beans and being discharged in Egypt.
