Sesame
T
he highest-yielding conventional variety on the 2011/12 HGCA Recommended List with 110% treated gross output, the variety also good lodging resistance, stem stiffness and strong overall agronomic features - Sesame has already captured in over 10% of the certified seed market for winter oilseed rape in the 2010-11 season, its pre-launch year. DK Cabernet
The second highest pure line variety on the E&W HGCA recommended list for 2011-12. Scoring 107 for treated gross output, and excellent oil content, the variety combines yield and oil with a good all round disease profile - including a 9 for stem stiffness. The variety is in the later maturing category and as such fits well in farm situation with a spread of OSR varieties.

Hybrid
Palace
A high-yielding hybrid that combines high treated gross output and excellent disease resistance characters. In particular, its excellent light leaf spot resistance added to its stem canker resistance makes Palace an excellent choice for regions where disease pressure is on the increase. DK Sequoia
A low-biomass hybrid variety, suited to early sowing or for areas of high fertility where could have lodging problems with taller varieties which keep growing, the variety is easy to management, and its low biomass means that it saves money and time at harvesting time.

Excalibur
Is a Farmer Favourite, it is the earliest maturing hybrid variety with consistently good performance on farm. The variety is bomb-proof against pigeons, has a good all round agronomic package and suits a wide sowing window.

Compass
Compass is now fully recommended - and sits as the 2nd highest gross output variety for the E&W region and the highest in the North. It has very high oil content along with a good disease package and straw characteristics scoring an 8 for lodging. Click here for more information
