Seed Rate:    NK Bravour has excellent establishment properties, Frontier trials have found the optimum seed rate to be 100 seeds per m² into a firm fine seed bed in the last week of August to aim for a regularly spaced population of 60 plants m². Local considerations need to be taken into consideration, such as soil type, moisture available and weed burden. Your local Frontier agronomist can advise of the most appropriate rate. Chinook® combined with Rovral® and Thiraflo® offers an all-round-protection right from the start of the growing year. Effective against damping off and cabbage stem flea beetle. If the pest pressure is high a follow up treatment may be required. Frontier oilseed rape is treated with SeedLife® to assist with establishment, SeedLife® has shown an economic yield benefit consistently over the last 10 years as well as improving vigour in the autumn creating a better green leaf index.

Agronomy:    NK Bravour has good disease resistance, but you may consider an autumn spray targeting stem canker if the disease levels are high. NK Bravour responds well to the use of fungicides even though the variety has good resistance to light leaf spot. Manage as required in the autumn and early spring.

Fertiliser:      Your Local Facts Trained Agronomist can advise on the best programme for your crop. Nitrogen inputs should be targeted to help create an efficient crop canopy using RB209 as a guide. Sulphur is equally important to maximise the efficient use of Nitrogen in the plant, apply between 50 to 100kg/ha SO3 in early spring depending on the situation and deficiency. Monitor trace elements as deficiencies can limit crop output.

PGR's:      NK Bravour would benefit from an application of triazole fungicide with growth regulatory effect.

Pure Yield:    Frontier can help you optimise the yield from your crop of NK Bravour, contact us to find out more about the "Pure Yield" growing protocol. NK Bravour is a sound agronomic variety with no real weaknesses and we can guide you to the best returns using this excellent variety.

Harvesting:     To obtain the maximum benefit of the high oil content, it is vital the crop matures properly before harvesting. NK Bravour's stem characteristics make it suitable for either desiccation, swathing or direct cutting.

Summary:
