Parentage: Reaper x Rialto
Key Benefits
· Group 1 milling wheat with a 4% yield advantage over Malacca,
plus superior milling quality and N utlisation efficiency
· The best combination of reliable protein, specific weight
and Hagberg quality
· Stiff strawed
· No disease weaknesses
· Good untreated yield
Mascot offers breadwheat growers a valuable opportunity to boost
gross margins through the best available combination of yields and
consistent top milling quality specifications.
Yield
Yields are 4% above Malacca with a superior protein and specific
weight. Yields are not significantly different from Solstice in
the East and are notably consistent across years, UK regions and
soil types.
Agronomy
Mascot carries a very sound disease resistance package, with no
specific weaknesses and the best eyespot resistance in its class.
This is reinforced by its high untreated yields. It has short, stiff
straw and the highest possible lodging resistance with PGR. Mascot
ripens at the same time as Claire.

specification of HFN, Specific Weight & protein than other milling
varieties
- Classified as
