COOPER is a large blue pea with a high yield potential, provisionally recommended on the 2007 NIAB/PGRO List. Agronomically, Cooper has moderately long straw with good standing ability but is rather susceptible to downy mildew. Cooper produces a large round pea with good colour retention making it suitable for the micronising market.

Cooper has only moderate resistance to downy mildew and is likely to need a multi-purpose seed dressing in high risk situations, particularly if growing for a premium market. Cooper is resistant to pea wilt.

Cooper has a large grain size wth a high thousand seed weight. Samples are bold with good colour retention making them acceptable for number of premium markets including micronising.
