Suggested sowing rate: 20 kg/ha (8 kg/acre)
Packed in 1 hectare packs
A mixture that will produce an ideal habitat for forage insects
& birds. Contains a selection of pollen & nectar rich species
along with non-competitive companion grasses. This mixture should
be sown in strips at least 6 metres wide at the edges of fields
and/or in blocks during mid March to mid April or July to August.
Blocks or strips should not exceed 0.5 hectares and there should
be no more than 1 strip or block per 20 hectares. To stimulate late
flowering, half the area should be cut to 20 cm in June and the
whole area should be cut to 10 cm between 15th September & 15th
October. Ideally the cuttings should be removed.
